Who am I?

Hi, I’m Shaylin, a creative storyteller who brings ideas to life through photography, videography, writing, and art. Growing up in New York City, the Dominican Republic, and Texas taught me the value of connection, resilience, and sharing stories that matter.

I’ve been lucky to be part of unique experiences like filming Flatland Cavalry, working as a camera operator on the unreleased six-episode documentary The Great Plains Project, and traveling to Iceland and South Africa to capture stories through photo and video. Creativity is really important to me, and I use my camera to amplify voices, celebrate accomplishments, and capture moments that reveal who people truly are.

At my core, I believe storytelling should make people feel seen. Whether I’m filming, photographing, or collaborating on a new project, my goal is always to create work that feels genuine, human, and rooted in connection.
